About the course

Professionals use three types of guitars, bass, electric and acoustic, but beginners mostly use acoustic. The Mittsure’s Guitar Essentials course is for beginners. Hence, an acoustic-electric guitar has been used for teaching purposes.

As the course is for beginners, no prior knowledge of music or guitar playing skills is required. If you do not like spending thousands of rupees on guitar lessons or you are someone who likes simplified learning, this course is the right choice for you.

Introduction
In this video, learn the basics of guitar. The instructor- Baldeep Pradhan, explains the different parts of a guitar. Understand the basic theory of guitar. You will also learn to play different guitar patterns, chords and scales.

Lesson 2
In this session, learn to play your first melody. The instructor- Baldeep Pradhan, demonstrates how to play the melody. He explains the concept of rhythm, finger picking technique and plucking.  

Lesson 3
In this session, learn the technique of tuning the guitar. The instructor provides a step-by-step demonstration of how to tune a guitar. He also explains how to use the guitar tuner app while playing the guitar.

Lesson 4
In this video, learn to play two major scales. You will be taught how to play the chords and scales using a guitar. The trainer will show how to play the C and D major chord.

Lesson 5
In the previous session, you learned about C and D major chords. In this session, you will learn to play C major in the second position. The instructor demonstrates and explains the finger placement technique for each scale and chord.

Lesson 6
Learn to play the chords of C and G major in this session. The instructor demonstrates how to play the chord of C and G major. The finger placement used for playing the chords has also been explained in this session.

Lesson 7
In this session, the instructor-Baldeep Pradhan, shows the chord diagram and tablature (musical notations based on finger position) used for playing guitar. He later explains how to read the notes and chords.

Lesson 8
In the previous session, you learned to read a chord diagram. In this session, the instructor shows the guitar tab (musical notes) and explains how to read from a guitar tab. Later, he demonstrates how to play the song ‘papa kehte hain’.

Lesson 9
In this video, you will learn to play the chord F major. The instructor demonstrates how to play the F major and what will be the correct finger placement to play this chord.

Lesson 10
In this session, you get the opportunity to revise what you have learned previously. You will play the C, F and G major using a guitar while the instructor will brush up on the basics again.

Lesson 11
In this session, you will learn about chords B, D and E major. The instructor will demonstrate and explain each chord in detail. He will also educate about the correct finger placement for each chord.

Lesson 12
In this video, learn to combine major chords to compose a tune. The instructor explains and plays the major chords combinations. You will also learn about the pattern of 12 notes.

Lesson 13
In this video, you will learn to play a rhythm. The instructor will explain each step in detail while playing a basic rhythm. All notes will be displayed on the screen to help you understand better.

Lesson 14
In this session, you will learn to play the song 'Papa kehte hain' from the movie 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. The song has been sung by Udit Narayan. All notes will be displayed at the bottom of the screen while the instructor explains each part of the song.

Lesson 15
In the previous session, you learnt to play the song ‘Papa kehte hain’ using a pattern. In this session, you will learn to play the song with tabulator form – this method of learning enables beginners to understand better and learn faster. The instructor demonstrates how to play the song using a guitar.

Lesson 16
In this session, you will learn about chords A, B and C minor. The instructor demonstrates and explains how to play the chord part A minor, chords B and C minor using a guitar. The instructor also shows how to play the song ‘Papa kehte hain’ entirely.

Lesson 17
In this session, you will learn about minor chords E, F and G. The instructor- Baldeep Pradhan, demonstrates how to play each of these minor chords. The chord diagram displayed on the screen will help you understand and practice better. The instructor also demonstrates how to play the chords in combination.

Lesson 18
In this session, you will learn to play a combination of chords. You will also learn about relative minors - a minor scale which shares a key signature with a major scale. The instructor demonstrates and explains how to play the chords. The chords are displayed on screen to help you understand better.

Lesson 19
In this video, the instructor- Baldeep Pradhan, demonstrates how to play the major scales and how chords are formed. Each scale is explained along the way. The instructor also illustrates how D major and E major scales are played. 

Lesson 20
In this session, the instructor explains how to play F major scale, the scales of A and B major. The pattern is displayed on screen to help you understand and play with the instructor. You will also learn the major scale formula.

Lesson 21
In this session, the instructor – Baldeep Pradhan, explains how the major chords are formed. He also demonstrates how to play them along with explaination of each step.

Lesson 22
In this session, you will play the major chords taught till now by the instructor. You will also learn about arpeggios - broken chords. The instructor demonstrates and explains how to play arpeggio for C and D majors.

Lesson 23
In this session, you will learn about the different minor scales like C, D, E, F and G. The instructor demonstrates how to play these scales while explaining each step. The pattern and the strings used for each minor scale are displayed on the screen to help you understand better.

Lesson 24
In this video, you learn about A minor and B minor scales. The instructor explains and demonstrates how to play these minors. The pattern and the strings used for each of the minor scales are displayed on the screen to help you understand better.

Lesson 25
In this session, you will learn about minor chord formation. The instructor demonstrates and explains how to play the minor scales in combination. The pattern and the strings are displayed to help you understand.

Lesson 26
This is a continuation of the previous session. In this session, you will go one step forward to learn about minor chord formation. You will also learn about power chords and how to play them using a guitar. The rhythm of the minor chords would also be taught in this session.

Lesson 27
In this session, you will learn play a Bollywood song using guitar. The song " Give me some sunshine " is sung by Suraj Jagan and Sharman Joshi from the movie '3 idiots'. The pattern is displayed on the screen to help you play the song.

Lesson 28
In the previous session, you learned to play a part of the song, 'Give me some sunshine'. In this session, you will play the chorus part of this song. You will also learn to play the barre chords - chords played by using one or more fingers to press down multiple strings.

Lesson 29
In this video, you learn to play another Bollywood song from one of Salman Khan’s movies. The song is 'Dil Diyan' sung by Atif Aslam from the movie 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. You will learn to play the lead part from this song. The pattern is displayed on the screen to help you play this song.

Lesson 30
In the previous session, you had learned to play only the lead part of the song, 'Dil Diyan Gallan'. In this session you will learn to play the remainder of this song. The pattern is displayed on the screen to help you play the whole song better.
